First indoor skating competition held in Rukumkot

Rukum East/ The first indoor skating competition organized in Rukumkot has been successfully completed. Under the competition, men and women competed in the senior and junior categories.
In the senior men’s category, Neeraj Malla won first place. Nabin Pun came in second and Sushil Shrestha came in third place. In the senior women’s category, Jenisha Shrestha came in first, Sapana Shrestha came in second and Varsha Roka came in third.
The first place winner in this category received a cash prize of Rs 10,000, the second place won Rs 7,500 and the third place won Rs 5,000 along with a medal and certificate. Similarly, in the junior men’s category, Krish Bikram came in first, Jenish Shrestha came in second and Mikal Nepali came in third.
In the junior women’s category, Yunika B.K. came in first, Ayushma Roka came in second and Suisanmi Roka came in third place. The winners of the junior category received a cash prize of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000, medals and certificates respectively.
Speaking at the event, Association President Achut Khanal said that such competitions are necessary for the development, promotion and commercial expansion of the skating sport, which is becoming popular among the younger generation in Nepal.
He also informed that there are plans to organize more systematic and larger competitions in the coming days.
